Looking for a professional to work aviation security assignments in the field and also maintain the administrative requirements in the office. While covering as the Operations Coordinator, this person will be a central point of contact for all internal customers. The Operations Coordinator will be a self-starter with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability. They will often work with little or no supervision, be extremely organized, and display excellent communication and administrative capabilities. The Operations Coordinator will be handling calls relating to the operation from JFK staff and management and clients. Basic daily job functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Distribution, maintenance, and record keeping of all issued equipment to agents working different posts
  • Notifying IT of any inoperable equipment as soon as possible
  • Submission of daily flight reports via company online portal
  • Monitor and communicate airline ETA and gate assignments to DM’s, Account Supervisors, and Security Agents
  • Coordinate staff movement and allocation of manpower to ensure coverage of all posts in the event of irregular operations (i.e. delays, early arrivals, call outs)
  • Distribution and collection of all required paperwork (flight reports, incident reports, access control logs, etc)
  • Maintain the MUST READ file and ensure employee access and compliance with the sign and read policies.
  • Standard administration and reception duties; receiving phone calls and e-mails from clients, management, and staff relating to the operation.
  • Upon hire, must provide proof of citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work authorization in the US
  • Ability to effectively speak, write, and understand the English language
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.;
  • Must be able to pass a 10 year verifiable background check, including criminal, employment, education, and personal references;
  • Must possess valid IDs required by overruling airport authorities in order to obtain SIDA badge;
  • Must be able to pass a Security Threat Assessment as administered by the Transportation Security Administration; Security Background check as administered by the US Customs and Border Patrol; and any other background checks and training (initial and recurring) as administered by overruling airport authorities
  • Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes and exams as administered by Global Security;
  • Access to both a telephone and computer in working order
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Minimum of one year administrative experience in a fast paced office
  • Minimum of one year experience in either security or airport operations
  • Must possess, or be willing to obtain pre-employment, a valid state security guard license, and maintain its validity throughout the course of employment
  • Must successfully obtain, and maintain a valid SIDA badge as required to perform job duties at the airport
  • Clean and valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to learn security operations and procedures on Federal, and Company levels;
  • Ability to follow directions as instructed by supervisors or managers;
  • Ability to work as, and be an effective team member;
  •  Great record keeping skills, as daily logs and reports are frequently required;
  • Exceptional customer service skills;
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the capability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures;
  • Knowledge of cultural faux-pas and ability to maintain proper etiquette amongst all clients, co-workers, and general public, even during pressing or unusual circumstances
  • Ability to act in an authoritative, but respectful manner in confrontational situations such as challenging an unidentified individual in a SIDA area
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality as required by job task
  • Professional and courteous phone etiquette
